Official 2008 Team Structure and Policies

Most Noble RRR Teammates,

okay...live, ride, and learn...right?

As you know, your Board has worked very hard since last season to create a unique racing concept for our 2008 season. We unveiled our high-end reward program to embrace and encourage elite, serious racers which we called, "Team Black." We also created a 'sport team' that allowed more leniency in racing requirements while reimbursing amply for effort demonstrated throughout the season. That was our "Team Green" concept. We also addressed the needs of Juniors and Club Riders.

Bottom Line: we rang the Temple Gong and...well, only a few of you bothered to answer our call for seriously focused bike racing.

The paltry smatter of committed racing enthusiasm - collectively - from our RRR Team was next to benign. The Truth of RRR shone forth clearly to your Board; "Let's just ride and keep this Team simple."

So be it. You have spoken by not speaking and for the 2008 Racing Season, we have by necessity, wiped out our glorious "Teams Black, Green, and White" and have thus redefined our Race Reimbursement for all RRR Racers. The reimbursements are geared to reward our faster, and in most cases, more dedicated Team Members. However, the advantages for ALL Levels of racing within this Team remains significant. Please Study:

1.) Clothing
- Available at cost to all RRR Team Members
- Juniors get 1/2 off their kit (jersey and shorts)

2.) Reimbursements
NOTE: 5 Race Per Season MINIMUM to qualify for reimbursement
- $30 per race (according to Race Reimbursement Policy)
- Up to $35 fuel reimbursement for car-pooling. Minimum Team members must be 3+ to encourage Team unity and conservation.
- Race Reimbursements to be submitted individually as per 2008 Reimbursement Procedure Policy

3.) Bike Shop/RRR Relationship
All RRR Team Members are expected to embrace and patronize as often and as much as possible our 2008 Bike Shop Sponsor; COSMIC CYCLES. Conduct of oneself while on those premises should reflect our appreciation for having such a great shop working with our Team! Politeness and understanding of the often meager profit margins available to modern bike shops should be remembered at all times.

All eligible RRR Team Members qualify for 20% off Retail at COSMIC CYCLES - bikes and labor excluded. John and Terry are your contacts at COSMIC...stop by often, show your support!

4.) Elite Athlete Consideration Clause
Licensed Cat 1/2 and Pro/Semi Pro ONLY:
You are invited to submit your own proposal to the Board at any time throughout the year. The Board will then make decisions as is feasible at such a time to offer additional support to you on a case- by-case basis. Much of this support will pivot upon what that person can contribute to the team and the community.

NATIONAL & MAJOR REGIONAL RACES
Board + Collective Team Input decides upon which National and/or Major Regional Races to target and send a group of no less than 6 RRR Team Members.

Reimbursements for the selected National and/or Major Regional Races will be based on the financial status of the club and may include any or all of the following:
- $30.00 per race
- Fuel reimbursement for carpooling (3+ Teammates) up to $35
- Pre-paid team/group lodging (i.e; one large condo vs. individual hotel rooms)

This 2008 RRR Team Structure is hereby in affect as of 1-28-08
